E-mail Pen Pals

From Shannon Athey, a high school Spanish teacher in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania:

"(www.epals.com) provides the opportunity to create a class profile and specify what you're looking for in a group of pen-pals. Then if another class is interested, you can start corresponding. The site is designed for 'keypals,' that is, pen-pals that send e-mail to each other. You can get e-mail addresses for every student in your class as well as yourself, and they have different levels of security with the highest level being that every message sent or received by each student has to be approved by you first. That way you don't have to worry about anything inappropriate happening. I tried this and got my Spanish class set up with a class from Argentina. It was a great experience for them!"
